Naughty Chocolate Balls

chocolate coated energy balls with seeds, dates, and coconut flakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup organic pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup organic sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup organic poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup organic coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup organic pitted dates
  • 100% dark chocolate (for coating)
  • Sesame seeds (for decoration)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp water (if the mixture is too dry)

Instructions:

Prepare the Mixture:

  • Combine the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, coconut flakes, and pitted dates in a blender or food processor. Blend until the mixture is well-combined and sticky.
  • If the mixture feels too dry to shape, add up to 2 tablespoons of water to achieve a consistency that holds together.

Shape the Balls:

  • Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.

Melt the Chocolate:

  • Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.

Coat the Balls:

  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Place the coated balls back on the parchment-lined tray.

Sprinkle with Sesame Seeds:

  • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a decorative and nutty finish.

Chill:

  • Place the tray in the fridge for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.
